Business News | IDeA World Design College students qualify for final of Society of British and International Interior Design Awards

Bengaluru (Karnataka) [India], July 8 (ANI/PRNewswire): The IDeA World Design College Student Optimus has been selected as one of the top 8 finalists for the prestigious Society of British and International Interior Design Awards. Under the mentorship of designer Thomas Abraham, this was the first time an Indian finalist had been shortlisted for the prestigious British Furniture Awards.

The Optimus is a morphable piece of furniture that transforms in size, shape and function. It is part of a larger collection of 14 pieces of morphable furniture called the Transformer Collection. IDeA has been featured three times on US Television NewsWatch for its Transformer collection. The feature was aired three times due to the increased momentum it gained.

Because it can be versatile and versatile, the Transformer collection limits the number of pieces of furniture in the room, thus providing free space. It is made of sheesham wood (from renewable plantations that respect the environment with a low carbon footprint). It is an “Environment First” design in all respects, prioritizing craftsmanship design, sustainability, sustainability, material recycling and reuse, waste management, reduced carbon footprint and economically affordable design. This is design as cosmopolitan as it gets, glocal (global + local) sensibility with diversity and universal value – furniture that would fit into every home, in any culture.

IDeA World Design College students have the opportunity to exhibit and participate in trade shows and awards alongside leading brands in the market. In 2019, students under the mentorship of Thomas Abraham exhibited for the Architectural Digest Design Show alongside brands like Fendi, Gauri Khan, and more. Students also design real houses and live projects to feel the true essence of fieldwork.
